Valmiermuiža beer "Baltic Porter" 5.8% 330 ml
Valmiermuiža Baltic Porter uses five specially selected malts. The two darkest malts are roasted after drying, similar to coffee. The bitterness of the beer is enhanced by German-grown 'Nugget' and 'Polaris' hops, while the aroma is enhanced by noble 'Tettnang Tettnanger' hops. When poured into a glass, it forms a dark brown, thick, creamy, and slowly evaporating head. The aroma featuresnotes of malty sweetness and burnt crème brûlée. On the palate, the bitterness of a black, expressively roasted coffee resonates with counterpoints of dried figs and lightly salted almonds, but then the rich bouquet slowly sinks into the darkness of malt to give the aftertaste the gradually fading presence of a strong espresso. Enjoy alone as a digestif or with rich desserts. Enjoy with grilled dishes and oysters, sweet desserts containing chocolate. Also goes well with caramelly creamy desserts. Can be added to hearty beef stews.
